WASHINGTON – Congressman Bradley Bryne (R-AL) issued a statement of congratulations in response to Finis St. John IV being named chancellor of the University of Alabama System on Friday, April 12.
“Congratulations to my friend, Finis St. John, on his confirmation as chancellor of the University of Alabama System,” said Byrne. “Fess, as his friends call him, and I became good friends when we were high schoolers and served as members of the state Key Club board. I know him to be a man of intelligence and integrity who has a deep love for our state. There is no finer choice for chancellor. He will serve in this capacity with the distinction and ability we’ve seen from him time and again throughout the years. Roll tide, Fess!”
St. John served as a trustee for the University of Alabama for 17 years, during a time of growth for the entire university system.
