LOS ANGELES — Actress Georgia Engel, well known for her role on “Mary Tyler Moore Show,” died at the age of 70, according to The New York Times.
Engel, who also had a recurring role on “Everybody Loves Raymond,” died Friday, April 12, in Princeton, New Jersey. The cause of death has not been determined. Friends said Engel was a Christian Scientist and did not see doctors.
Engel won two Emmy nominations for Moore’s show and three for “Everybody Loves Raymond.” She also appeared in “One Day at a Time,” “The Betty White Show,” “Hello Dolly!” and Broadway’s “The Drowsy Chaperone.”
