From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Police Department is hosting a drop-off spot for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., people can drop off their unused or expired medications at the Trussville Police Department at 131 Main Street, Trussville.
The Drug Enforcement Administration said unused medication around your home is at risk of being stolen or used in a way that was unintended. Even throwing pills away in the trash can be dangerous. The safest way to dispose of prescription medication is to bring it to a reliable source on National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
