CLARK COUNTY, Ind. – A Jeffersonville, Indiana, man accused of molesting 20 young girls learned his sentence, according to Courier-Journal.
Michael Begin Jr. was sentenced to 120 years by Judge Andrew Adams in a Clark County courtroom Friday. Twenty of those years will be suspended for probation.
Begin pleaded guilty of several counts of child molestation in January after being arrested in October 2017. Begin was a member of Jeffersonville High School’s Cadet Teaching Program, which allowed him to work at Thomas Jefferson as a teaching assistant. Two six-year-old girls accused him of touching them inappropriately during the school day. One of the incidents was caught on school surveillance video.
More victims came forward after the arrest, telling police Begin had touched them inappropriately while he was working at the Clark County Family YMCA. He was charged with 27 counts of child molestation in total.
