SPRINGVILLE — The Tigers shut out Plainview varsity softball in a 1-0 victory on Friday.
Both teams displayed strong pitching in the game, but Abby Swaney got the shut out for the Tigers by striking out eight, allowing zero runs on two hits and walking zero. Swaney had the mound for seven innings.
Springville managed to put up seven hits for the day. Mckenzie Brown, Kyndall Gipson and McKenzie Spivey had multiple hits for the Tigers.
Plainview had two hits and three errors for the game.
