JEFFERSON COUNTY — A half-day seminar was announced for disadvantaged business enterprises. The event will be on May 6, 2019.
The Jefferson County Purchasing Division will hold the free seminar for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) on how to do business with Jefferson County. It will be at 10 a.m. at the Linn-Henley Research Library in the Richard Arrington Auditorium.
Businesses will be able to meet with representatives from the Alabama Licensing Board for General Contractors and the Birmingham Construction Industry Authority, as well as hear from UAB DBE Support Services. Jefferson County Commissioners will also be in attendance.
While the event is free, seating is limited. Those interested in attending need to register by emailing procurementservices@jccal.org or calling (205) 325-5381.
Various divisions of the county will be on hand for the event to present upcoming projects.
