DOTHAN — Two Alabama police officers were hurt by a person they were attempting to assist Sunday, May 5.
According to WVTM, Dothan Police were dispatched to assist a man who was on the ground at a local business. Officers were attending to the man when he woke up and attacked them. A female, believed to be an associate of the man, also got involved in the altercation.
Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish said that one of the officers left the incident with a leg that is believed to be broken while the officer’s partner has a broken hand.
WVTM said that no identities have been released, but that police arrested the man and woman.
