TRUSSVILLE — A suspect was arrested in the death of an 84-year-old Birmingham woman. Brenda Evans, 52, is facing a murder charge in the death of Hattie Evans.
Birmingham Police said the victim was found dead in a home at 9009 Zion City Road at 2:15 a.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2019. According to the Jefferson County Coroner, she died as a result of head injuries related to a domestic incident and was found on the floor of a bedroom. Birmingham Fire and Rescue pronounced her dead on the scene.
Brenda Evans is now being held in the Jefferson County Jail.
