From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Police Department said one of its detectives saved the day for one lucky kitten on Main Street on Tuesday, May 7, 2019.
Detective Ryan Robinson saw the long-haired, gray kitten jump from a car at the intersection of Chalkville Road in downtown Trussville. Robinson jumped to the rescue just in time for the tiny kitten. Police said the kitten had been in the engine of a car and that the driver of the car probably never knew he was there.
Witnesses said Robinson saved the kitten’s life because it jumped into traffic, ran into a parking lot, then climbed into another vehicle. After about 25 minutes of searching, Robinson found the kitten.
A woman nearby got the kitten and said she plans to keep it.
