TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Police and Fire departments are getting ready for their big softball tournament on Saturday, May 18, 2019.
The game will be at the baseball field at the corner of Cherokee Drive and Parkway Drive, across the street from the old Hewitt-Trussville football stadium.
The police department has a lot riding on the game, as they are the defending champions. But the fire department will need to come in hot to prove they’re not losers.
This year’s proceeds will go to benefit the Team Jerry Foundation to help support Trussville resident and Tarrant firefighter Lt. Jerry Presley. Presley was hurt in January while fighting a fire.
The game will start at 10 a.m. The public is invited to come out and enjoy the tournament with a $1 donation. Three food trucks will also be on site.
