CULLMAN COUNTY — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has released the identity of two of the four people killed in a crash in Cullman County.
ALEA State Troopers said it happened at 8 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 2019, on Alabama Highway 67 one mile south of Joppa. Two vehicles were involved.
Allen Dewanne Gore, 41, of Sommerville, was killed when the 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix he was driving crossed the centerline and collided, head-on, with a Peterbilt log truck. Crash investigators do not believe Gore was wearing a seatbelt. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Holly Marie Young, 23, and two children, ages two and four, were passengers in the Grand Prix. They were also pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver of the Peterbilt was hurt and was taken to a local area hospital for treatment.
Troopers are investigating the cause of the crash.
