Charles Jason Holley, 31, left his earthly home on May 29, 2019, to be with his Heavenly Father.
He is survived by his Mother, Joan Manning Holley, brother and sisters, William Jeremy Holley, Alicia Grace Liddon, and Carrie Renee Holley, nephews and nieces, Logan Wainman, Alex Stewart, Summer Liddon, Sophie Wheelock, and Sim Liddon. He is also survived by his Aunt Donna Manning and Uncle David Manning. He is preceded in death by his father, William Keith Holley and his loving grandparents, Donald and Edith Manning. Our sweet Jason was loved by all.
There wasn’t really anyone Jason had an encounter with that didn’t truly love his spirit. His care for others was deep and genuine. Jason loved his family deeply. His past time was somewhere outdoors, hiking, hunting for cool rocks, arrowheads or any other treasures. Usually, those treasures ended up in the hands of someone else, because he always gave them away, and rarely kept them for himself. He loved birds and trees and his favorite trees were Japanese Maples, which he would grow from seed and take loving care of so that he could give them away to family and friends. He also loved drawing trees. Sometimes they even ended up on the walls of family and friends. Jason loved to read. His favorite Author was George McDonald and always encouraged everyone to pick one up and read. Wrinkle in Time was his favorite book of all time. Although Jason never married, he was blessed with his nieces and nephews at a young age and treated them not only as an uncle but brother and as he grew older. He was our protector and his heart was too large for this world. He was a kind and genuine friend to everyone, and even though he was shy, he really knew no strangers. His smile, his walk, his laugh, his heart, and his spirit, leave us here, but we will see him once again. Charles Jason Holley will be greatly missed. Services will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Trussville.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 2-3 pm, with a service following at 3 pm. There will be a celebration of life for our sweet Jason at Escape Day Spa, Homewood, AL at 6 pm.
