JEFFERSON COUNTY — Crews will be closing lanes of Interstate 65 in Jefferson and Blount counties for paving and guardrail operations.
The Alabama Department of Transportation announced the closures will take place from Monday, June 17, to Saturday, June 22, 2019.
Beginning at 7 a.m. each day, the left lane of I-65 northbound, between the Mt. Olive exit (MP 272) and just north of Hayden (MP 285), will be closed for guardrail operations. Lanes should be reopened every day by 4 p.m. The northbound work is scheduled to be completed on Friday.
In the same area, one lane in the southbound direction will be closed from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. for paving and guardrail operations. The work in the southbound lanes is scheduled to be completed by Saturday.
Drivers are asked to find alternate routes and use caution in the area.
