TRUSSVILLE — As part of the Trussville Public Library’s Summer Reading Program, there will be a special event on Thursday, June 20.
GetRhythm will allow participants to interact in a drum circle with professional musician John Scalici. Scalici is an award-winning teaching artist, according to his website. He has worked for the likes of Teri Weksler, Wes Chapman, Jessica Lang and Daniel Lewis. Scalici has also been a percussionist for Red Mountain Theater Company’s “Once on this Is- land”, “Mandela”.
The purpose of his GetRhythm program is to inspire and empower. GetRhythm will begin at 3 p.m. in the auditorium of the library.
