James “Jim” Reeves Manget, age 73, of Trussville, Alabama, formerly of Marietta and Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on June 21, 2019.
Jim was born and raised in Atlanta, attended The Lovett School and Dykes High School. He was the son of Dr. James DePass Manget, Jr. and Elizabeth Reeves Manget, and the grandson of Dr. James DePass Manget of Marietta, Georgia.
Jim was graduated from West Georgia College, then returned to Atlanta where he played and taught tennis for many years, especially at Bitsy Grant Tennis Center. He went to work for Georgia Federal in 1977 and retired from Integra Realty Resources in 2011.
A devoted husband and father, Jim is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rachel, daughter, Katherine Stone (Scott), son Daniel, and granddaughter, McKenzie Reeves.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3 pm on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at Deerfoot Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will be on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia at 1 p.m. eastern time.
