From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
CENTER POINT — The city of Center Point is in the process of becoming an Alabama Community of Excellence (ACE) Town and is asking for volunteers to help.
The city must complete three phases to become an ACE Town. The second phase of the program is leadership training. A variety of people in leadership positions is needed, including, but not limited to, government leaders, business leaders and non-profit leaders.
Volunteers must be with organizations within Center Point city limits. The volunteers will undergo leadership training over the course of eight months and will only be needed one day per month.
The ACE program provides assistance for towns and cities to develop the tools they need for long-term economic success.
If anyone is interested in this leadership program, they should contact the Chamber office for more information.
