CLAY — The family of Russell Patterson, who was found in Cosby Lake on July 3, will hold a memorial service in memory of the Army veteran.
The service will be at Cosby Lake on Tuesday, July 9 at 7 p.m., exactly one week after Patterson disappeared.
Patterson, 36, was last seen on July 2, while fishing in a kayak on Cosby Lake. His body was recovered the next day after an extensive search.
Patterson’s family will hold a gathering at the lake at 6248 Old Springville Road. There will be a balloon release and prayer.
