CALHOUN COUNTY — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said a woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Wednesday, July 31.
Rhonda Ledbetter, 61, of Piedmont, was driving a 2004 Toyota Tacoma when it left the roadway on Highway 278. The vehicle hit a culvert and the driver was ejected. ALEA said the truck flipped several times and landed on Ledbetter.
Ledbetter was pronounced dead at the scene, one mile west of the Piedmont city limit.
