JASPER — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) released a statement Tuesday confirming the death of a teen killed in a crash with a Walker County deputy.
The 14-year-old was driving an ATV (four-wheeler) on Highway 69 South, at the intersection of Old Tuscaloosa Road on Friday, Aug. 2, when the crash happened.
The teen was transported to Children’s of Alabama where he later died. The deputy was transported to Walker Baptist Medical Center for treatment.
ALEA is investigating the cause of the crash.
