JEFFERSON COUNTY — Center Point Fire and Rescue crews responded to three wrecks Monday night around 10 p.m.
The first crash happened on Valley Crest Drive in Birmingham. Center Point Fire assisted Birmingham Fire and Rescue. Chief Gene Coleman said the crews were performing a road rescue. Injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
The second crash happened on Goodwin Road, near Tyler Loop Road in Pinson. A car hit a power pole and crews were waiting for Alabama Power to arrive on the scene before they could get anyone out of the vehicle. Fire crews put out a grass fire near the vehicle. Some residents in the area are without power. Coleman said it didn’t appear that anyone had life-threatening injuries.
The third crash happened in the 1900 block of Second Street NW in Center Point. Coleman said a car struck a house. Crews were called to the scene to evaluate injuries. No one inside the home was hurt.
