TRUSSVILLE — Trussville Mayor Buddy Choat reviewed the success of car tag sales at the October luncheon for the Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce.
Choat said car tag sales were up over 40% in 2019. 5,132 tags have been sold so far in 2019. That compares to 4,371 from April 2018 – Dec. 2018.
Choat said the city doesn’t make much money with car tag sales, but he is thankful the city is able to offer the service to its citizens.
“If you ever had to go to the county and get a tag, you know what a valuable place this is,” said Choat.
Residents of Trussville can purchase and renew tags at City Hall.
Those seeking driver’s licenses and out-of-state tag transfers will still need to visit the county courthouse.
