Marjorie Curl Sherer Kennedy, 85, of Birmingham, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019.
Margie had a long career as a bookkeeper for various businesses in the Birmingham area. She loved family gatherings, decorating for Christmas, and traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Walter W. Kennedy, Jr.; brother Harry Curl (Carolyn); sons, Steven Sherer (Gale) and Daniel Sherer of Locust Grove, Georgia; grandchildren Ashley Little (Daniel), Wanda Howse (Greg), and Steven Neil Sherer Jr.; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, with a chapel service to follow at 2 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens, 1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL, 35235.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation, St. Martins in the Pines or First Baptist Church of Pleasant Grove.
