TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville City Schools Board of Education announced five Teachers of the Year during the monthly board meeting on Monday, Nov. 18, 2019.
The winners are as follows:
Cahaba Elementary School – Rachel Osburn
Magnolia Elementary – Lynette Summers
Paine Elementary – Cynthia Weyerman
Hewitt-Trussville Middle School – Jennifer Bruno
Hewitt-Trussville High School – Josh Haynes
Each school nominated its own Teacher of the Year. Superintendent Dr. Pattie Neill congratulated the teachers on their achievement.
“Congratulations to you all, I’m proud of you,” said Neill. “I just can’t say enough about the work that you do.”
District winners were Lynette Summers, for Elementary School Teacher of the Year and Jennifer Bruno, for Secondary Teacher of the Year. They will be in the running for the state’s Teacher of the Year.
