TRUSSVILLE — The Hewitt-Trussville bowling team brushed off the hours old dust on Thursday in its return to the lanes following the Warrior Classic in Oak Mountain, Alabama, on Wednesday.
After placing third in the Warrior Classic, the boys’ team rode that wave into Thursday’s matchup against Southside Gadsden with a 1579-1102 victory that pushed their record to 4-1 on the season.
Both Joseph Taylor and Cole McCarty led the way for the Huskies with a score of 214, respectively.
The girls’ squad dropped to 2-2 on the season after falling to Southside Gadsden, 1288-1043. Madeline Newman paced the Huskies with a score of 169.
The two teams remain at home next Monday for a matchup against Minor.
