The council considered and passed resolution 2019-11-07. The resolution was to approve and authorize an agreement with the Alabama Department of Transportation to improve traffic signals in the city.
Several other items on the agenda were passed this morning, including resolution 2019-11-01, which was granting public funds to a private entity pursuant to Amendment 772 of the state constitution. Also passed was resolution 2019-11-06 to authorize fire department capital expenditures.
The council also approved issuing an alcohol license to Neighbors Snack Shack, as well as the purchase of a used bucket truck from open bid. Additionally, adoption and ratification of monthly city expenditures and payables was approved.
The next city council meeting will be held on Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. at Leeds City Hall located at 1000 Park Drive in Leeds.
