BIRMINGHAM — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash that happened on Sunday, Nov. 24, after a vehicle was found in a ravine.
Investigators responded to the scene around 7:22 a.m. and found the vehicle off of 3300 Erwin Dairy Road.
The preliminary investigation found the vehicle went airborne before landing in the ravine.
The driver was the only person in the vehicle. Paramedics responded and pronounced him dead on the scene, according to the sheriff’s office. His body was taken to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office for examination.
