FAIRFIELD — The Pinson Valley boys’ basketball team continued to roll following its 92-58 victory over Jefferson Davis on Monday afternoon in first round of the 2019 Heritage Thanksgiving Tournament hosted by Fairfield High School.
The victory sends the Indians to 2-0 on the season.
Pinson Valley never trailed against first-round opponent Jefferson Davis. The Indians were led by the sensational play of Kameron Woods. The senior poured in 48 points in the win. Woods has scored 40-plus points in both games this season. He scored 41 against Center Point to open the season.
Camron Scott followed with a double-double (17 points and 10 rebounds), and Joseph James added 13 points with six assists and six steals.
The Indians return to the hardwood in the second round of the tournament on Tuesday against Woodlawn at 6 p.m. The Colonels defeated Shades Valley in the first round.
