TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville City School System announced the winners of recent spelling bees.
A fifth-grader at Magnolia Elementary will head to the District Spelling Bee, after a big win in November.
Jayden Howard won the Magnolia Elementary School Spelling Bee on Nov. 19, 2019.
Riley Morris won the Cahaba Elementary Spelling Bee on Nov. 21, 2019. There were 10 fifth graders competing in the bee.
Riley O’Neill placed as runner up. Morris will also head to the District Spelling Bee.
At Paine Elementary, a big win for Braxton Benefield means he will head to the District Spelling Bee.
Malie Kate Miller placed as runner up.
The Jefferson County District-wide Spelling Bee is in January.
