From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Police Department is investigating the theft of over $50,000 worth of inventory from Hall’s Motorsports on South Chalkville Road.
Several thieves were caught on camera on Sunday night, Dec. 1, 2019. For nearly two hours, the crooks worked to load off-road inventory into at least two U-Haul trucks, a devastating blow to the business.
Trussville Police believe the thefts are connected to a large criminal ring that has hit several similar businesses across the southeast. Detectives said it appears to be a professional crew that burglarized the Trussville location. They were able to bypass security and steal several units from the property.
The thieves left behind damaged property as well.
Investigators are looking into the possibility that the U-Haul trucks used in the theft were also stolen.
If anyone thinks they have information on the burglary or the suspects, they are asked to call the Trussville Police Department.
