HARROGATE, Yorkshire — A video showing the moments when a 4-month-old has her hearing turned on first thing in the morning has captured the hearts of many who have watched the 20-second clip on Twitter.
Baby Georgina, who has had hearing difficulties throughout her short life, was diagnosed with “severe deafness” as a newborn. The adorable little girl was outfitted with hearing aids from the National Health Service in September.
The video, posted on Twitter by the infant’s father, starts with Georgina staring silently at the camera before her mother saying, “OK, so we’ve just turned your hearing on. Can you say hello to everybody?”
Georgina responds with a radiant smile and a high-pitched response to her mother’s question.
She is instantly delighted and becomes much happier straight away,” the father told The Telegraph. “Her face lights up and she looks delighted.”
The father tweeted the video on Thursday morning and it has already had tens of thousands of likes.
“She smiles every morning when she’s able to access sound. It’s just gorgeous,” the father said.
