CENTER POINT — The Center Point Horticulture Department will honor young victims of homicides in the 2019 Christmas parade.
“Cherry’s Angels” include Jurnee Coleman (July 31, 2019), Kamille McKinney (Oct. 12, 2019), Aniah Blanchard (Oct. 23, 2019), and Ta’ Narius “TJ” Moore, Jr. (Dec. 4, 2019).
The special dedication was inspired by Cherry Palmer, who was killed in an accident on Center Point Parkway in 2018. Each of Cherry’s angels will have a special, handcrafted sign on the back of a Center Point vehicle. All of the artwork was done by Deirdre Gaddis, the Horticulture Department’s Administrative Clerk.
Center Point’s Christmas parade will be on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019, starting at 11 a.m.
