TRUSSVILLE — A Georgia woman is facing charges, including trafficking in stolen identities, after being pulled over by Trussville Police, on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019.
According to a police report, an officer first noticed a woman yelling obscenities at other drivers as she was pulling out of the parking lot at Walmart in Trussville Crossings. The officer said the woman became agitated and began honking her horn as she pulled into oncoming traffic, traveling the wrong way.
The officer made a traffic stop and said he immediately smelled marijuana in the vehicle. The woman told the officer she had smoked marijuana earlier in the day, but that there were no drugs inside the vehicle, according to the report. The woman also told the officer she became frustrated because she was in a hurry.
After a search of the vehicle, a backpack containing 12 driver’s licenses and 18 credit or debit cards was discovered. Investigators said the IDs all had the same photo but different names, addresses, birth dates and license numbers.
Officers that responded to the scene spoke with the driver and her two passengers separately. According to the police report, the officers were given conflicting stories by the three about who had driven the vehicle, how they got to Trussville and where they were going.
A small amount of marijuana was also located inside the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle, Tammesha Brenae Culbreath, 24, of Mableton, Georgia, was arrested and charged with trafficking in stolen identities and encoded data fraud. She was booked into the Trussville City Jail.
Culbreath was also given a warning citation for reckless driving.
Other charges, against the passengers of the vehicle, are pending, according to Police Chief Eric Rush.
