SAN ANTONIO — The annual high school football All-American Bowl returns this Saturday with a local face hitting the field alongside the top prospects in the country.
Hewitt-Trussville’s Malachi Moore, an Alabama commit, will join 100 players who will play in the annual East vs. West matchup, which will be played at noon CT in the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, on Jan. 4, 2020.
Moore finished his senior season with 83 total tackles, four interceptions and eight passes deflected. In his four seasons at Hewitt-Trussville, Moore has recorded 156 total tackles, five interceptions, one fumble recovery and 19 passes deflected.
According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Moore concluded his final season with the Huskies as the top-ranked defensive back in the state.
In addition to Alabama, Moore received scholarship offers from the likes of Tennessee, Michigan, Clemson, LSU, Florida, Georgia, Texas A&M, Georgia Tech, and Auburn, but he has been committed to the Crimson Tide since 2018.
The nationally televised All-American Bowl will air on NBC.
