TRUSSVILLE — The Hewitt-Trussville boys and girls’ bowling teams placed a bow on the 2019-20 regular season on Monday after the two teams cruised past Pinson Valley to finish the year undefeated in area play.
With the victories, both teams lie claim to the Area 12 title.
The Huskies boys’ bowling team continued its season-long trend of making easy work of opponents as it eased its way through the Indians with a final score of 1241-794. The boys were led by David Davis’ score of 175.
The girls’ team defeated Pinson Valley, 913-785, behind Madeline Newman’s score of 137.
The boys’ team finished the season 15-1 and 10-o in Area 12. They have not lost since falling to Thompson on Nov. 20.
The girls finished the season 10-3 and 8-0 in Area 12 play. The girls have suffered just one defeat in the past nine matches.
The teams now advance into the North Regional Tournament to be held in Vestavia Hills on Jan. 16-17.
