TRUSSVILLE — The Hewitt-Trussville wrestling team defeated Spain Park, 43-25, on Wednesday to remain undefeated in Class 7A, Region 3 and book its place in the 2020 AHSAA State Duals Tournament.
The Huskies will next travel to face Vestavia Hills on Thursday in what will be a match to lie claim to the region title. However the outcome, Hewitt-Trussville will finish no worse than second in the region.
The AHSAA State Duals Tournament will run from Jan. 17 until Jan. 24 at the Birmingham Crossplex.
