BIRMINGHAM — Hand in Paw, an animal-assisted therapy provider, announced the promotion of a staff member to Development Director.
Ashley Foster, who has been the organization’s Director of Events and Strategic Partnerships since 2018, was recently promoted to the position. Foster first started working for Hand in Paw as a volunteer. She will now help raise awareness and support.
Hand in Paw’s mission is to “improve human health and well-being.” The organization uses professionally-trained volunteer handlers to visit people in medical centers, schools and human service organizations throughout north-central Alabama and Tuscaloosa.
Foster is a graduate of Furman University and her background is in event planning, fundraising and corporate partnerships, according to a press release.
Hand in Paw Executive Director Margaret Stinnett said Foster’s commitment to Hand in Paw is unwavering.
“For the past two years, she has consistently exceeded every goal we set in fundraising and community service,” said Stinnett. “I am excited to see the work she will accomplish in this decade.”
