Week 1 — Much like this past season, the Huskies will open with Class 6A powerhouse Pinson Valley. Hewitt-Trussville edged out the Indians, 40-33, within the friendly confines of Huskies Stadium in 2019. Historically, the Huskies have had little trouble with Pinson Valley, holding a 27-3 overall edge in the series.
Week 2 — Hewitt-Trussville will return home in week 2 to face Class 6A power Saraland. The Spartans finished this past season 10-1. Their only loss of the season came in the first round of the playoffs to Park Crossing. This will be the first matchup between Hewitt-Trussville and Saraland.
Week 3 — Hewitt-Trussville returns to Region 3 play against regular rival Spain Park. In 2019, Spain Park ushered in the Huskies’ mid-season slide after a 28-24 victory that involved several late-game heroics. Overall, Hewitt-Trussville holds a 3-2 series advantage,
Week 4 — The Huskies continue Region 3 play with a trip to face Tuscaloosa County. The Wildcats finished this past season 2-8, but proved to be a stiff test for a Hewitt-Trussville team in dire need of a late-season victory. The Huskies ultimately won, 24-21. All-time, Hewitt-Trussville leads the series 4-1.
Week 5 — Already out of the playoffs, Hewitt-Trussville had nothing to lose when it collided with a Warriors team in the regular-season finale. With that mindset, the Huskies stunned No. 1 Thompson, 35-29, to wrap the year. Thompson would go on to win the Class 7A championship. Hewitt-Trussville holds a 6-5 series lead.
Week 6 — Hewitt-Trussville travels to face a Class 6A Huffman team that concluded the 2019 season 2-8. The Huskies defeated Huffman, 34-21, this past September. Overall, Hewitt-Trussville is 22-18 against the Vikings.
Week 7 — The always formidable Hoover Buccaneers travel to Trussville in October. Hoover won last season’s matchup, 28-14, despite falling behind 14-0 early in the first quarter at the Hoover Met. Historically, Hoover has dominated Hewitt-Trussville, leading the series 4-17.
Week 8 — The Huskies travel to face Vestavia Hills in what will be a revenge game for Hewitt-Trussville. The Rebels defeated Hewitt-Trussville, 19-14, in October, which was part of a 1-3 slide for the Huskies. Hewitt-Trussville has had problems with Vestavia Hills throughout the years. The Rebels hold a 2-13 series advantage.
Week 9 — Region newcomer Gadsden City returns to Hewitt-Trussville. The Titans were woefully inept in 2019, recording a 1-9 season in Region 4. Historically, the Huskies lead the series, 8-6.
Week 10 — Hewitt-Trussville remains at home to close out the regular season against Oak Mountain. The Huskies defeated the Eagles, 50-33, in an early-season shootout in 2019. The Eagles concluded this past season with a 4-6 record. Overall, Hewitt-Trussville leads Oak Mountain 5-3.
