RANDOLPH COUNTY, Ala. — The Randolph County coroner confirmed the identity of a man and two children killed in a fiery crash over the weekend.
Coroner Terry Sparks said Larry K. Gamble and his two children, 8-year-old Kingston Hezekiah Gamble and 4-year-old Jazlyn Capri Gamble, were pronounced dead on Sunday, Jan. 19.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the crash happened around 2:34 a.m., on Highway 48, near County Road 95.
The vehicle appeared to be traveling at a high rate of speed while negotiating a curve when it ran off the left side of the roadway striking a tree head-on, troopers said.
The collision caused the vehicle to catch fire and completely burn.
Trooper Jerome Cofield, Cpl. Brian Merrill and Trooper Todd Jubenville all responded to the scene.
