MOODY — Hoover City School’s Board of Education convened a special board meeting early Thursday morning with the designed purpose to terminate the school bus driver who was arrested by Moody police Wednesday on child pornography charges.
Earl Frasier, 60, was booked into the St. Clair County Jail on Wednesday afternoon after his home computer was found to contain pornographic images of children. Moody police had received a tip and promptly investigated through the Internet Crimes against Children Task Force. Police Chief Thomas Hunt said several items of child pornography were found early Wednesday after a search warrant was obtained. Frasier was taken in for questioning by Moody police at their headquarters following his bus route on Wednesday.
Hoover City Schools issued a statement on Wednesday evening stating that it was working with law enforcement and that “the Hoover Board of Education will act on this matter immediately, decisively and within compliance of the law.”
They did just that early Thursday morning, unanimously voting to terminate Frasier, who had worked as a Hoover bus driver since 2018. The board then reiterated its hiring and vetting process, but refused to comment further in the less than five-minute-long meeting.
