Pinson Valley retained its No. 1 spot in Class 6A this week in the updated Alabama Sports Writers Association boys’ basketball rankings.
In the week since the Indians claimed the No. 1 spot, they have defeated Center Point, No. 3 Fairhope and Clay-Chalkville. Nationally, Pinson Valley sits at No. 137 with a 20-3 record, according to Maxpreps, which should be noted is out thousands of teams throughout the country.
The Indians are led by Kam Woods’ 36 points per game. Ga’Quincy McKinstry sits at 15.6 points scored per game and JoJo James adds 10.6 points per game. Camron Scott is the leader on the glass with 10.5 rebounds per game.
