BESSEMER — The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified the two males who perished in a Bessemer house fire on Wednesday.
The two men are identified as Cedric Banard Spiller, 57, of Bessemer, and James Gregory Schuman, 37, of Midfield. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
The house is said to have belonged to Spiller.
Bessemer Fire and Rescue were called to the scene of a house fire at 2221 Dartmouth Avenue, at 10:23 p.m., on Jan. 22, 2020. Firefighters extinguished the fire and Bessemer Police were called to the scene after the discovery the two males.
The cause and manner of death have not been determined.
