Gracie Lynn Tapscott Grace, Nana to her grandchildren, peacefully passed away surrounded by family at St. Martin’s in the Pines Healthcare Center in Birmingham on January 21, 2020 at the age of 92 years, due to complications after a fall.
Mrs. Tapscott was born in Cullman County, Alabama, the twin daughter of Luther and Florence Lynn. She grew up in Dodge City, Alabama, attended Cullman High School, and retired from the Healthcare industry after many loyal years of service. She was a member of Valleydale Baptist Church.

Gracie could also make anything grow. She loved growing her own vegetables in raised beds and enjoying her beautiful flowers each year. By far, Gracie’s favorite activity was spending time and sharing stories with her family and friends.
Gracie Tapscott will be remembered for her sense of humor, adventurous spirit, love of lipstick, her caring way, her servant’s heart and her unwavering love for her family. She will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Tapscott; daughter, Paula Tapscott Rogers; granddaughter, Meaghan Tapscott; and (9) siblings, to include her twin sister Lacie Harris.
