BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department is investigating a homicide after an incident on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020.
Deshandra Lashode Bell, 25, of Birmingham, was identified by police as the victim.
Officers were first called to the scene at 1600 Pearson Avenue Southwest on a call of a person shot. Birmingham Fire and Rescue responded and took Bell to UAB Hospital where he later died.
Investigators believe Bell was shot at another location and ran to the store where he collapsed.
No suspects are in custody.
