BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department announced the arrests of two people in connection to a homicide investigation.
Jehudijah Davis, 23, of Birmingham, and Juanderrius Woods, 20, of Birmingham, are both facing a capital murder charge in connection to a shooting that happened on Friday, Jan. 31, 2020.
Officers were called to a report of a person shot in the 900 block of 24th Street South, around 1:55 a.m. Friday. One victim was pronounced dead on the scene and a second victim had been taken to the hospital in a personal vehicle.
The victim killed was identified as Tyrese Morrow, 26, of Birmingham. The other victim is expected to survive.
Officers believe the shooting stemmed from a physical altercation.
Davis and Woods are being held in the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.
