BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying two people at the center of a robbery investigation.
The department released surveillance images of the two men. The robbery happened on Monday, Feb. 3, 2020, at 6:43 p.m., at the Family Dollar store located at 7330 First Avenue North.
Detectives said the men approached the counter and one of them tried to grab money from the register. As they began to flee, one of the men pointed a gun at an employee. Both men escaped the area.
No injuries were reported.
