BIRMINGHAM — The National Weather Service in Birmingham has much of central Alabama in a Flash Flood Watch.
Two to four inches of rain are expected in many places, including Jefferson and St. Clair Counties.
St. Clair County Schools are closed because of the large amount of flooding,
In Trussville, there are several roadways with puddling, including Deerfoot Parkway and Cherokee Drive. The NWS reminds drivers to be cautious and “turn around, don’t drown.”
The Jefferson County Commission has closed a section of Floyd Bradford Road due to a culvert failure.
The Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 6 p.m. Thursday.
