BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department is asking for help identifying the person who robbed the Budget Inn at 5101 Messer Airport Highway.
The Robbery happened around 7:45 p.m., on Friday, Feb. 7, 2020.
The incident was caught on surveillance video. In the video, the man can be seen jumping over the counter with a handgun. Police said he pointed the gun at the clerk and demanded money, threatening to kill the clerk.
The man got money from the register and tried to get money from the safe, but was unsuccessful.
No injuries were reported.
