TRUSSVILLE — A Trussville resident reported his truck stolen from his driveway sometime between Sunday, Feb. 9, and Monday, Feb. 10, 2020. The black 2019 F-150 Raptor 4X4 was taken from a location on Jonathans Way.
The owner said inside the truck, he had a Glock 43 pistol, a laptop computer and a pair of glasses. He also had a locator app that connected to his truck and that helped officers find the truck in East Birmingham.
When the vehicle was recovered, the owner said his laptop was still missing, as well as the firearm, but the glasses were found still in the vehicle.
Also found in the car was an empty plastic bottle that did not belong to the owner of the truck. The bottle was recovered with the residue of an unknown substance still remaining on the plastic and was taken into evidence.
According to the police report, the thief could be charged with theft of property first degree.
