JEFFERSON COUNTY — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a reported drive-by shooting in east Jefferson County.
A witness said a vehicle drove by a home in the 1200 block of Birchwood Street, in unincorporated Jefferson County, and someone fired shots into the home. It happened around 8:17 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19.
No one was hit by gunfire, but a 15-year-old was cut by broken glass, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies were asked to search for the vehicle involved. The sheriff’s office did not provide a description of the vehicle for the public, but that information could be released at a later date.
Jefferson County detectives are investigating the shooting.
