TARRANT — The American Legion Post 113 in Tarrant was raided on Wednesday evening following a months-long investigation by the Tarrant Police Department.
The raid led to an arrest and the confiscation of eight gambling machines, according to AL.com’s Carol Robinson.
She reported that Tarrant police entered Post 113 at around 7 p.m. on Wednesday following citizen complaints regarding illegal gambling occurring on the property.
Apparently, Post 113 had received a cease and desist letter this past year, which they originally complied with, but they then subsequently disregarded the order and continued the use of the machines.
The raid led to the confiscation of eight machines and cash.
One person was arrested on drug charges.
